Gear change signals

Maybe some of you heard this, maybe you didn't but Mclaren F1 cars of recent years have an interesting feature - the driver is played a specific noise at the ideal time to change gear, or rather, adjusted for reaction times. This feature is both pavlovian and.. ..honestly quite clever. Could a specific gear-change signal driver aide (sound/light/player's choice) be implemented in to rFactor2? For one I'm interested as to if it could actually make a difference to times or preservation of fuel/the engine's life by tuning it to play...
